Wire/Bar [Ta] [Nb]
ULVAC has 40 years of experience producing Ta/Nb wires and bars and is highly regarded by its many customers. ULVAC’s ZD material, with its increased strength at high temperatures, is used in the manufacturing of heaters and electric light bulbs.
Tantalum ZD Material
ZD is ULVAC’s original material, developed for high-temperature manufacturing. When regular tantalum is used for extended periods at high temperatures, distortions occur as the tantalum grains grow, resulting in a shortening of product lifespan. ULVAC has led the industry in developing ZD, whose distortion at a high temperatures is controlled by adding a small amount of a special element. ULVAC has been manufacturing and supplying ZD for many years, and is constantly modifying and improving on this cutting-edge material.
