AIMCAL And KRICT Name Best Technical Paper, Poster Winners At 2019 R2R Conference Asia

The 2019 AIMCAL R2R Conference Asia was held at the Didimdol Plaza Conference Ctr. on the campus of the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) in Daejeon, South Korea. The three-day program’s premiere edition drew nearly 150 attendees from across the globe to hear dozens of technical presentations on solution and vacuum coating, as well as web handling.
The award winners were:
1. Best Vacuum Coating & Patterning Paper: Dr. Anye Chifen of Ulvac for „Metallizing Ultra-Thin Polymer Film for Capacitor Applications.“
Honorable Mention for Best Vacuum Coating & Patterning Paper: Dr. Seung-Hyun Lee of KIMM for „Current Research on the Roll-to-Roll Manufacturing System for Flexible Electronics in KIMM.“
2. Best Web Coating Paper: Sang Kyun Kim of Kolon Industries, Inc., for “Current Research on the Colorless Polyimides for Foldable Displays.“
Honorable Mention for Best Web Coating Paper: Dr. Mark Auch of Tera Barrier for „Nanoparticle’s Pivotal Role in Ultra High-Barrier Films for Flexible Electronics, Food and Medical Packaging Applications. “
3. Best Poster: Seho Kim for „Web tension control using active dancer for R2R imprinting system.“
Honorable Mention for Best Poster: Jaehoon Lee for „Vacuum Web Coating.“
